A close look shows good workmanship. The soles are synthetic and can be used outside to fetch the paper; the felt is strong and the shoes should be wearable for a long time. This was a gift for my son and he's quite happy with my choice. It does take a long time to arrive, but worth waiting for. They are made and shipped from Lithuania.
